Changing my purpose

So, this is my "other" blog. You know, the one I haven't updated in two years? Ooops. I have another blog I've shown more love to, with the exception of the last several months. I just need to face the fact that I'm not a good blogger, but I will try, although this blog has no followers:) YET! This blog will now be about my family's journey to become healthy and debt free. Hopefully it will hold me accountable...again, the whole followers thing:)

Four weeks ago my husband and I started P90X. I did really well the first...week. Then, I got an ear infection and my son got sick my niece had a baby and now my husband is sick and then I had some other mysterious illness tracked somewhere between week two and three. Maybe I've completed an entire two weeks, but I don't think so. I also did a great job of tracking my calories, for about three days. I need motivation, I just need to dig it up from somewhere.

Two or maybe even three years ago my husband and I attended Financial Peace University. It's an excellent program and I would suggest everyone take it. Even if you're not interested in becoming completely debt free, you will still learn a ton. Well, I'll go into greater detail about the entire plan at a later date, but let's just say, Brian and I were less than active at following the plan to a T. We immediately completed the first step of getting an emergency fund. We quit using credit cards and piling on more debt; however, we never started paying off debt, until this year. We're on a roll now and I really hope we stick to it.

I am horrible at making goals, plans, you name it, and then not sticking to them or doing them. It's a horrible example for my son. He doesn't even believe we'll do what we say most of the time because we never follow through. Here's hoping to a change this year. Check back regularly for updates...all of my non followers:)
